A Suffolk Post Office will remain closed for six weeks while extensive building works are carried out.
The Post Office inside the Borehamgate Shopping Centre closed suddenly on Friday.
It is currently leasing the space from Babergh District Council after the closure of the previous branch in Market Hill.
The Post Office moved into the shopping centre last June.
On Friday a spokesman confirmed that the shop was closed to allow urgent building works to take place.
Today (March 21) the spokesman confirmed the unit will be closed for six weeks with a provisional re-opening date on Monday, May 1 at 9am.
