A busy road in west Suffolk prone to flooding will shut for three weeks.
The A143 Compiegne Way in Bury St Edmunds will shut for pump maintenance and replacement work between March 20 and April 8.
The closure will be in place between the Hollow Road and Steve Lumley roundabouts each day from 9am until 5pm.
This follows an incident on Friday in which the road was closed "for some time" after flooding.
More flooding was affecting the road on Tuesday.
The A143 connects to the A14 at the Tesco roundabout.
A spokesperson from Suffolk Highways said: "Following the emergency road closure along Compiegne Way, Bury St Edmunds, urgent work has been arranged to clear the pump chambers of silt so that we can replace the pumps which this low lying area relies upon to clear the water from the road into the River Lark.
"The repairs will be taking place between 20 March and 8 April 2023, Compiegne Way will be closed between Hollow Road and Steve Lumley roundabouts (north-west bound carriage only).
"The road will be closed between 9am and 5pm, each day.
"For the duration of the works, traffic will be diverted via A134, B1106, A134 and no vice versa
In the meantime, our teams will continue to monitor the location and arrange for tankers to attend if the location floods prior to the pump repairs."
