The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for parts of Suffolk as snow continues to fall.
The alert is in place until midday today and has been called after thousands of people across the county woke up to snow this morning.
Towns that fall within the warning area include Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Haverhill, Newmarket, Eye and Stowmarket.
What to expect
- Roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
Yesterday, a spokesperson for the Met Office said temperatures are set to become more mild from Sunday.
