Suffolk has seen a week of snow flurries and freezing temperatures, but when will the cold snap end?

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice was in place for the county until 7am this morning.

Due to the adverse weather conditions, National Highways is urging road users to check ahead and plan for disruption to their journeys.

A spokeswoman for Met Office said: "Temperatures by day will be around 5-7C through to Saturday.

"There is likely to be a widespread, hard frost on Saturday morning.

"On Sunday we will start to see milder air moving in across the south of the UK, bringing daytime max temps of 10-12C for the end of the weekend and into the start of next week."

A Met Office Level 3 cold weather alert for most of the country has been extended until 9am on Monday, March 13.
