A motorist has been arrested after driving a van straight over a roundabout.
The driver was breath-tested and officers said the result showed they were more than two times over the legal alcohol limit.
Members of the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team detained the driver this morning, after a blue Fiat van was driven straight over the Mildenhall Road roundabout on the A1101.
The motorist was arrested after blowing 82µg at the roadside, then 67µg and 74µg in custody.
The standard unit of measurement for breathalysers is microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath, or µg/100ml.
The English and Welsh drink-driving limit is 35µg/100ml.
Busy start today for NRT Team 1 and @NSRAPT who attended the A1101 Mildenhall Road where a van had driven straight over the roundabout.
