A popular Suffolk community room is set to be formally reopened later this month after a major overhaul thanks to the National Lottery and landfill credits.
Trinity Hall in Onehouse near Stowmarket is used by residents of the village along with Shelland and Harleston - but had been showing its age.
In recent times it has been in need of refurbishment and a touch of TLC.
A few years ago, a small committee was formed to make renovations to the whole fabric of the place and make it fit for purpose for its many users.
Thanks to the efforts of many people from the local community, local councillors, parish councils and PCCs, as well as generous support from Valencia Community Fund and the National Lottery, two vital phases have been completed.
A brand new toilet block, with suitable facilities for those with disabilities and a complete relaying and levelling up of the hall floor has been achieved.
To mark the occasion, the village is holding a special re-opening event on Friday, March 17. Meanwhile work to further improve the building, both inside and out is set to continue.
