Creative youngsters from Ipswich and other Suffolk towns dressed up as their favourite book characters and celebrated World Book Day 2023.
Suffolk Libraries organised a celebration at Gainsborough Community Library, inviting children for a library garden minibeast hunt and animal top trumps crafts, as well as a fancy dress competition.
Wizards, princesses, superheroes and fairytale characters were among the many submissions we were sent in.

Dr Andy Sievewright, the headteacher at Farlingaye High School, said: "Our readathon is a great opportunity for our students to engage in reading.
“With a focused and concentrated day to really immerse in the worlds of favourite authors, new authors and get ideas for new genres, it makes the magic of reading more tangible."

The Beeches Community Primary School, like many schools in Suffolk, encouraged its students to dress up as their favourite book character.
The theme for World Book Day 2023 is making it 'your' World Book Day.
We'll be adding more pictures throughout the afternoon - keep checking back.
