A new pop-up shop is being launched in a Suffolk seaside town to give people looking to start their own businesses the opportunity to show their products in the centre of town.
Felixstowe Indoor Market has been started in the former Simone Michelle The Hair Shop premises in Hamilton Road.
The aim of the new store is to provide a venue for local people to sell their products, whether a farmer who has home grown produce, a seamstress who has made clothes or an artist with paintings to sell.
Owner Simone said: "The background of this is rather than have a shop in a prime location in the middle part of the town centre empty gathering dust for the next months, we wanted to offer a space to rent to local people who perhaps in the current climate don’t wish to set up a new business with all the costs involved to do so."

She added the shop had been divided into very large spaces with tables to display products plus room at the sides for bigger items.
Vendors can book for an individual day or repeat days in the month or a block week or month.
Simone added the pop-up market was a chance for budding entrepreneurs to find out if what they were selling would finance opening a business premises.

She said: "With Mother’s Day round the corner and Easter approaching fast this is an ideal time to promote and sell your goods."
The shop has public insurance, but for those who have specialty products, such as food and jams or cheeses, they are advised to have their own insurance.
The fees for spaces are Monday to Wednesday, £18 per day, Thursday and Friday, £25 per day and Saturday, £28 per day.
To block book a week from Monday to Saturday, the fee is £100, while for a calendar month it is £350.
