The reopening date for a pub in a Suffolk village has been announced after it was left closed following a fire. 

A total of six fire crews were called to a blaze inside the Lidgate Star in west Suffolk on Tuesday, February 7. 

Crews were called following reports of smoke coming from the roof of the building.

On arrival, crews found a fire on the first floor of the property.

There was concerns that the fire would spread but crews extinguished the fire quickly. 

In the days following the fire the owners announced the pub would remain closed temporarily

Owners have since revealed the pub will reopen tomorrow (March 2) where they will be having a pie night.
