Taco Bell will be expanding into Haverhill as plans for the US giant's third restaurant in Suffolk have been given the green light.
A full planning application was first submitted by T Bello Group Limited, the organisation behind Taco Bell, in late December of last year.
The site of 47 High Street was previously occupied by Lloyds Bank but currently lies empty after the closure of betting shop William Hill.
It is proposed that the new business would be open between 11am and 11pm each day of the week and employ ten full-time staff and ten part-time staff.
The planning statement adds: "Stressing that the application premises is currently vacant and has been for some time, the proposed mixed restaurant and hot food takeaway use will make a positive contribution to the vitality and viability of Haverhill town centre, including its evening economy."
The restaurant is set to become the third Taco Bell in Suffolk, following the approval of applications in Ipswich and Lowestoft.
