Scammers have been reported visiting homes in Kesgrave and Rushmere St Andrew, offering to carry out garden work, including cutting trees.
According to Suffolk Trading Standards, two individuals are thought to be calling at doors today (February 23) with no ID shown and driving a pick-up van with no sign writing.
Residents are being advised to refrain from buying at the doorstep and not to buckle to pressure from salespeople offering supposedly one-off ‘buy it now’ low prices, or giving warnings about their property.
Doorstep callers can be reported to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice Consumer Service on 0808 223 1133.
