Plans for two new drive-thrus, Costa and McDonald's, on the Rougham Industrial Estate, near Bury St Edmunds, are set for approval.
The proposals were initially submitted to West Suffolk Council in March 2022 and have now been recommended for approval by their planning officers.
The plans would see the construction of a drive-thru coffee shop and a drive-thru restaurant alongside car and cycle parking.
The site lies on the Suffolk Business Park Extension and currently acts as disused land.
Rougham Parish Council has lodged an objection to the plans, saying it would increase traffic volumes and associated road noise close to a residential area.
It also says the proposals could be catered for in the town centre, rather than an "out-of-town countryside location".
Objections have also been made by Bury St Edmunds residents on the grounds of concerns over fast food leading to an increase in obesity.
A final decision will be made at the next meeting of the West Suffolk Council Development Control Committee on Wednesday, March 1.
