If the recent blue skies and sunny days have you packing your things for the coast – you might want to point your car in the direction of Felixstowe this weekend.
Following on from huge success last year, Beach Street will once again host its Street Food Festival, running from 3pm to 10pm on Friday (February 24) and from midday to 10pm on Saturday.
Charles Manning of Mannings Amusements, which owns the buzzing collection of food-filled shipping containers, says he’s hyped for the event, which will be even bigger than before.
A DJ will be kicking out tunes until 10pm both days, while hungry visitors can tuck into a bevy of dishes from all over the world.
Guest traders include:
Poke Nom – Japanese/Asian fusion
Gourmet Yorkshire Wraps – Roast dinners wrapped up in a Yorkie
Island Bay – Caribbean street food
Dirty Donuts – Loaded doughnuts
Mac Shack – Gourmet mac and cheese
Dirty Dogs – Loaded hot dogs
The Gourmet Chip Co – Loaded fries
Street Greek – Greek street food
Cakes and Bakes by Lacey Grace – Tray bakes and brownies
The Wonkey Donkey Bar
That’s not forgetting Beach Street’s original crew, from Patty Macs burgers and Four Three pizza, to The Viet Street Food Company and Hopsters.
There are some exciting new additions to the site too, says Charles, including an all-weather shelter, a brand new cocktail bar from Carnitas Taqueria, and an axe throwing range from Carbon Steel.
