A business leader has spoke about his sadness after announcing the closure of a much-loved Suffolk restaurant.
Casa in Risbygate Street in Bury has closed down after it first opened in the town back in 2009.
Mark Cordell, chief executive of the Business Improvement District said Casa closed on Saturday.
Mr Cordell said: "It is very disappointing but as we know many hospitality businesses are facing challenges relating to staff retention, energy costs and reduce customers.
"Unfortunately not even Bury St Edmunds is immune from these issues and it a very sad to see such an iconic restaurant closing.
"During Covid they were very innovative did lots of different things, but speaking to the owner, the building is listed and it's not very energy sufficient.
"Energy bills have just increased so much and in the end there was just too many things going against them so they have decided to move out which is a great shame because we will miss them."
