Plans have been put forward for a new dog grooming salon near Bury St Edmunds.
A planning application has been made to turn an outbuilding into a dog grooming business at the land of a Grade II listed cottage in Bury Road, Cockfield.
The site is currently used as a residential home and garden.
The plans would see a new two-bay cartlodge built, with the grooming salon below and first-floor guest accommodation above.
An existing garage would also be turned into a home office, if the plans are approved.
The development would see two part-time employees - self-employed dog groomers - seeing around five dogs a day, open every Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 2pm.
A new driveway would be added, creating an extra six car parking spaces and two bike spaces.
There are also plans for another building to be built as a stable block and tack room, which has already been approved under a different application.
The application was made by Mr A Bull of The Hermitage.
A decision is expected from Babergh District Council.
