A 28-year-old Suffolk man who was arrested after a fatal stabbing in Leiston last year has denied murder.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday ( January 30) for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was Oskars Kantors of Old School Close, Leiston.
He pleaded not guilty to murdering 41-year-old Agris Leigavnieks, of Old School Close, Leiston on October 17 last year.
He also denied assaulting a man and a woman causing them actual bodily harm on the same date.
Police were called by the ambulance service at 8.50pm on Monday, October 17 to reports that a man had been assaulted at an address in Old School Close.
The victim was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance where he later died.
Judge Martyn Levett adjourned the case until February 17 for a further hearing and directed that Kantors should be brought to court.
He remanded Kantors in custody.
