An appeal has been lodged after an application for a new petrol station, drive-thru restaurant and coffee shop in Suffolk was refused.
The Euro Garages application was for empty grassland next to Kiln Lane, Elmswell, just off the A14.
The plans were expected to create 20 full-time and 60 part-time jobs.
The application was originally made by Euro Garages to Mid Suffolk District Council in November 2021.
Of 62 public comments received on the planning portal, 59 objected to the plans and only three supported.
A change.org petition against the controversial plans was signed by more than 500 people in the village.
Concerns were raised by councillors and villagers around access to the site and the effect on traffic in the area.
The application was then refused refused in a Mid Suffolk Development Control Committee meeting in September last year.
The appeal will go before the Mid Suffolk Development Control Committee B on Wednesday, February 1.
