Two Suffolk restaurants have been added to the latest edition of the Michelin Guide.
In Aldeburgh, new restaurant and hotel The Suffolk achieved the prestigious honour just months after opening its doors in August.
Across the county, The Angel Inn in Stoke-by-Nayland was the second addition to the guide, having reopened after a £2million investment in May.
This takes the county's list of Michelin Guide restaurants to 15, up from 13 at this time in 2022.
In the guide, The Suffolk was praised for having "fish and shellfish galore" on its menu, making the most of its seaside location.
This modern brasserie was also recognised for going the extra mile when it comes to honouring the origins of its ingredients, going as far as to name fishermen and local suppliers involved in bring their dishes to life.
The kitchen uses "time-honoured and well-judged techniques to bring out the best of the ingredients".
In Stoke-by-Nayland, The Angel Inn's inclusion was thanks to its Spanish-born chef lending a "boldness of colour and flavour to many a dish", taking subtle influences from his homeland in the cooking.
On top of this, the restoration given to the Inn by its owners was another factor worthy of praise.
The guide reads: "This red-brick former pub is over 500-years-old and is now benefitting from the complete restoration its owners have given it.
"The stylish restaurant is divided into several rooms - and fans of wooden beams and open fireplaces won't be disappointed."
