A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the air ambulance was called to a fire in a Suffolk village.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Rectory Road, in Newton, near Sudbury, at about 6.20am on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started in a double garage that had a car inside.
The fire then spread to a neighbouring garage, the spokesman added.
One person suffered serious injuries as a result of the fire.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "One ambulance and the Essex and Herts air ambulance were sent to a private address in Newton, Sudbury this morning following reports of a fire.
"One man with serious injuries was transported to Colchester Hospital."
Crews from Sudbury, Nayland and Long Melford were called to the blaze.
