Suffolk experienced its coldest January night in two years last night.
People across the county woke up with frost on the ground and a chill in the air this morning after temperatures neared -8C just hours earlier.
According to Weatherquest, the coldest overnight temperature was -7.6C and recorded at Santon Downham, near the Norfolk border.
The second coldest reading was in Cavendish, which hit -6.6C last night.
Nearby, Wattisham reached -6.2C and Brooms Barn hit -4C.

In all of East Anglia, the coldest temperature was recorded at Marham in Norfolk, which returned a reading of -7.9C.
Last night's freeze exceeded the -4C expectations which were forecasted for the county over the weekend.
Daytime temperatures are also not predicted to rise above 5C in the coming days.
