Suffolk is set to feel the chill of -4C over nights this week - with forecasters saying there is even a chance of snow.
According to the Met Office, temperatures are set to plunge over Monday and Tuesday nights.
Rainfall is likely across the county on Monday morning, but the rest of the week is expected be dry.
Bernadette McCaffrey, meteorologist at East Anglian-based forecaster Weatherquest, said snow is possible in midweek.
She said: "It will be showery and fairly cloudy on Monday morning. That rain will then move offshore by midday, and the rest of the day will be fairly dry.
"Overnight it will start to get really cold. On Tuesday it will be dry and bright, but over the night we will then have some more frost.
"There is potential for a bit of snow from Wednesday onwards. It's hard to say at this time – there's a lot of uncertainty."
The Met Office has issued a severe cold weather warning, which covers the whole of Suffolk, until Thursday.
During this time, people are being warned to avoid long exposure to the chilly conditions and travel could be affected.
