Strikes across multiple sectors broke out in 2022 and have continued into the new year - with unions members demanding better conditions and higher pay.
It comes as a national cost of living crisis sees bills and the price of essentials skyrocket.
The walkouts have taken place across key sectors, including transport, health and trade - causing a great deal of disruption for thousands of people.
According to a YouGov survey published in December, more Britons oppose rail strikes and border guard walkouts than support them.
However, two-thirds of people (66%) appear to back recent nurse strikes.
Overall, one in three (35%) think trade unions play a positive role in Britain today, compared to 34% who think they play a negative role - with the latter rising noticeably since June.
