A Suffolk entrepreneur has set up her second business at just 21 years old, opening a new coffee shop just two doors down from her salon.
Chloe Hollands, from Mildenhall, first opened Opulent Hair and Beauty in West Row back in 2019, when she was 18 years old.
Following the salon's success, she decided to open up a second business on Beeches Road, responding to demand in the local area.
"I overheard loads of people saying it would be such a good asset to the village to have a coffee shop," said Miss Hollands.
"So I decided to just go for it."
Chloe's Coffee and Cake was named by Miss Hollands' father, who pointed out that the alliteration would make the shop more memorable.
Though coffee and cake are the main focus, it also offers a lunch menu to include fresh baguettes, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and pasties.
Miss Hollands' lunch of choice is the pasties, which are provided by a Bury St Edmunds supplier.
She emphasised the importance of trying to source food from local sources, saying: "I appreciate when people support my business, so I think it's only fair to do the same for others."
Miss Hollands added that she attributes much of her success to her "incredibly supportive" family.
Splitting her time between the salon and the coffee shop her mum, Sarah Hollands, 47 and sister Lauren Hollands, 16, cover the remaining shifts.
"It's definitely a family run business," she said.
"They were a big part in helping me do all of this, so I'm really grateful for them."
Alongside working weekend shifts in the coffee shop, her sister is also doing an apprenticeship in the salon.
Thus far, Miss Hollands said she is pleased with how many people have visited Chloe's Coffee and Cake, adding that she's even managed to build up a customer base of regulars.
"I really love West Row," she added.
"It's a relatively quiet village and I wanted to bring something different to the people there."
