A Suffolk village pub has announced its closure – just eight months after it was taken over by a new landlord.
The Swan in The Street, Monks Eleigh, has closed with immediate effect, according to a post on its Facebook page.
The pub in the village, near Hadleigh, was taken over by Denis Young last May.
A brief statement posted on the pub's Facebook page said: "The Swan M E Ltd has ceased trading from The Swan, Monks Eleigh with immediate effect.
"The Swan will be closed until further notice."
Mr Young is listed as the sole director of The Swan M E Ltd on Companies House.
The Swan is the latest pub to close in Suffolk in recent weeks, with many landlords saying the cost of living squeeze has forced them out of business.
Other pubs to shut recently include the Railway Tavern in Saxmundham and The Cock Inn in Little Thurlow.
