The Bury St Edmunds restaurant scene continued to get stronger in 2022 with several unique eateries opening up in the town.

Whether you fancy pasta and pizza at a charming new Italian, or a decadent sweet treat made by hand, these new places do not disappoint.

These are five new restaurants that have opened in Bury St Edmunds that are well worth a visit.

The Olive Grove opened in St John's Street, bringing the taste of Greece to west Suffolk.

Our review hailed the restaurant as a "very welcome addition to the food scene in Bury".

A 17th century building with exposed wooden beams is the perfect setting for a wholesome meal, and Rustico is happy to deliver.

This independent restaurant has become very popular in the town in just a short period of time thanks to its authentic Italian dishes which are filled with passion and flavour.

In November, Lower Baxter Street saw the arrival of Crumbs.

This quirky dessert shop sells a range of eye-catching and mouth-watering sweet treats that have brought something new and exciting to Bury St Edmunds.

Damson & Wilde opened in June and has quickly become a very popular lunch and dinner destination for food lovers.

Serving Mediterranean flavours, this restaurant provides diners with "fresh and healthy ingredients" but isn't afraid of a "sprinkle of naughtiness", our review said.

Linden Tree

The name might not be new, but everything else definitely is.

The Linden Tree reopened in the town after being bought by new owners and, after a tasteful refurbishment, has been restored to its former glories in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.
