A man has been arrested after another man was shot in the leg in Brandon.
The incident happened in the High Street between 10.30pm and 11pm on December 12.
The victim, a man in his 40s, called police the following afternoon to report that he had been shot in the leg after a shotgun was discharged outside his home.
The injury was minor and the victim did not require hospital treatment.
A 36-year-old has now been arrested in connection with the incident and has been taken to Bury St Edmunds police station for questioning, where he remains.
The victim and suspect are known to each other and this is believed to be a contained incident with no wider threat to the community.
A property in Riverside Way has been searched in connection and a number of firearms and ammunition have been seized.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
They would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who was driving near High Street at the time and has dashcam footage.
