Toasty Tuesdays are starting at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, from next week, as part of the warm spaces project to help people struggling to heat their homes.
Funded by West Suffolk Council's Winter Response Fund and in conjunction with the Rural Coffee Caravan's Warm Spaces project, Bailey's 2 and Crafty Foxes, Toasty Tuesdays will initially run for 10 weeks over the winter months.
Anyone wishing to drop in to the Theatre Royal can enjoy free hot and cold drinks, freshly made vegetable soup with bread and fresh fruit.
Theatre Royal's artistic director, Owen Calvert-Lyons, said: "We want to provide a welcoming warm space for those who are struggling with heating their homes this winter.
"Theatre Royal is a place that welcomes, engages and connects with the local community and, by joining this fantastic initiative, we can provide anyone who needs it a safe, warm space to have a chat, meet new people or simply enjoy a hot drink and sit down in our beautiful building."
Toasty Tuesdays will run from 10am to 12.30pm on the following dates: December 6, December 20, January 3, January 10, January 24, January 31, February 7, February 21, February 28 and March 7.
