A 53-year-old woman from Bury St Edmunds has been charged after a Just Stop Oil protest caused traffic disruption on the M25.
Several protestors climbed gantries over the motorway outside London on Tuesday morning, leaving a number of junctions blocked.
Charlotte Kirin, a social worker, carer and parent from Bury St Edmunds, posted a video from on top of one of the gantries on Just Stop Oil's Twitter account.
Kirin, of Peckham Street, Bury St Edmunds, was brought down from the gantry and arrested at the scene, at junction 31 of the M25.
She has since been charged with intentionally recklessly causing a public nuisance.
Paul Bleach, 55, of Locarno Road, Portsmouth, has also been charged with the same offence after a protest at junction 27 of the motorway.
The pair are due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
