Rock band Bastille have been confirmed as the headliners of the Newmarket Nights summer calendar for 2023.
The BRIT award-winning and multi-platinum selling group, best known for their 2013 hit Pompeii, will play at Newmarket Racecourse in west Suffolk on Friday, June 30.
The gig will be part of a series celebrating the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album Bad Blood, which topped the charts in the UK.
The band's latest album, Give Me the Future, became their third to reach the UK's number one spot.
Huge names such as Rudimental and Anne-Marie performed in the Newmarket Nights schedule last summer.
Sophie Able, general manager of Newmarket Racecourse, said: "Having Bastille as our first announced artist of 2023 is such a delight – they’ve been on our ‘wish list’ for quite some time and can’t wait to see the mammoth performance they’ll bring to the July course on June 30, 2023."
