The Bandits’ fortunes have improved significantly since the introduction of Polish rider Marcin Rempala, who scored 11 points in the 48-42 victory at Ashfield.
Team boss Ian Rae feels his side have a good chance in the forthcoming Young Shield competition, although he is concerned by the potential injury absence of Michal Rajkowski.
He said: “Once again we’ve proved we’re a solid team unit now, capable of picking up league points at places which just two months ago no-one would have given us a slim chance of.
“We have one concern though, and that’s over the condition of our injured reserve Michal Rajkowski, who we’re still waiting the full word on with regard to his leg or knee injury. But if we get guests like Alex Davies today we’ll be okay as he was flying and did a great job for us.”
