ROCK band Blur will be honoured at next year’s Brit Awards and the band will play live at the ceremony for the first time in two years.
The band, founded by former Colchester schoolboys Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn, along with Dave Rowntree and Alex James, will be presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award.
The Brits will take place on February 21.
Blur last played live in 2009 after reforming following a six-year break.
