On a clear sunny day it can be seen for miles around - an eye catching landmark that towers above the surrounding landscape.
Now the House in the Clouds in Thorpeness will soon be seen in homes across the country.
The converted water tower is to feature in the second episode of the ITV series Britain’s Secret Homes.
The programme - in partnership with English Heritage - airs on Friday, June 14 at 9pm.
The House in the Clouds is one of Suffolk’s most well known landmarks and towers 70ft tall.
It was built in 1923 to provide Aldringham Mill with water and mask an unattractive industrial feature. It is now available for holiday accommodation, with impressive views across the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Owner, Sylvia Le Comber, said: “The team seemed to enjoy their visit into my old world fantasy.”
Britain’s Secret Homes is presented by Bettany Hughes and Michael Buerk and counts down 50 of the UK’s most surprising and interesting properties.
