Hundreds of eager runners gathered along the Felixstowe seafront this morning in their best fancy dress for the annual Rotary Club of Felixstowe Fun Run.

Around 600 people entered the annual event, which has become a popular part of the May bank holiday weekend in Suffolk.

Runners of all ages and experiences took to the course, which started at the Spa Pavilion, continued along the seafront and up along the clifftop.

Many took part in ambitious fancy dress outfits, including people dressed as Star Wars stormtroopers, hippies, superheroes, pirates and astronauts.

Money raised from the entry fee will go to the rotary club for the Felixstowe Area Community Transport Scheme (FACTS), as well as allowing runners to collect sponsorship for a cause of their choice.
