A sparkling new addition has been unveiled for this summer’s Pigs Gone Wild art trail through Ipswich.
Katie the Rainbow Pig’s brightly coloured body has been decorated in glitter and sequins as designed by Moat Barn Nursery member Millie Blyth, aged four.
The nursery ran a competition among all of its three- and four-year-olds to design a pig with their parents, and all entries were judged by Easton Farm Park owner Fiona Siddall.
Nursery room leader Gemma Read said: “Millie’s design was colourful and bright and stood out.
“We were amazed at the parent participation. We always try and involve the parents and all of the parents were happy to take part.
“We had some really good designs - a spicy pig and a cupcake pig covered in hundreds and thousands.
“Katie looks brilliant. When she’s on the Ipswich Waterfront she will definitely stand out from the rest.”
The pigs will be on display around the town and on the waterfront for 10 weeks from June 27.
