There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found beside the River Orwell near Ipswich railway station today.
Police, paramedics, and firefighters were called to the riverbank by Pooley’s Yard in Ranelagh Road at around 7am following reports a body had been seen lying on the bank of the river.
The man, whose death is being treated as unexplained, is believed as being in his 30s and from the Ipswich area.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances around the death.
Anyone who may have been in the area between 7pm last night and 7am this morning who may have seen anything that may help the investigation is asked to call Suffolk police on 101, quoting CAD number 32 of today.
