A west Suffolk pub is looking to raise £1,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association with a black tie evening.

Landlords Ben Wase and Adrian Banks, at The Fleece Hotel, in Boxford, are hosting the event on March 4 after being inspired by one of their regulars who has been diagnosed with the degenerative and fatal disease.

Mr Wase said: “One of our very popular locals at The Fleece Hotel has been living with MND. He doesn’t want any fuss and wants to remain anonymous, but we wanted to help by raising awareness of MND and raise money for such a very important cause.”

The fundraising evening will be a black tie event, with a three course meal followed by an auction.

The event starts at 8pm and will be held in the Guild Room. The hotel are also looking for auction and raffle prizes.
