Pupils at a Great Finborough school truly embraced the festive spirit last week when they teamed up to donate a mountain of Easter eggs to charity.
Children at Finborough School aged two to 18 worked together to collect more than 150 chocolate eggs over the course of the week, from March 19 – 23.
The collection was run as part of the Finborough 14 challenge – a project where youngsters are set 14 challenges every term, designed to give a helping hand to people in need.
The eggs were donated to the charities East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), and Bury St Edmunds Women’s Refuge.
Steven Clark, headteacher at Finborough School, said: “I am so pleased with the scale of donations by our excellent pupils.
“All of our children are set fourteen challenges every term to broaden their horizons and contribute both via service and donations to those who are in need.”
