Leo and Amelia - these were the top baby names in Ipswich last year while parents in Bury St Edmunds favoured Charlie and Elsie.
Last week we revealed the most popular baby names of 2017 - Oliver and Olivia - and now we can tell you which were the favourites across Suffolk.
In Mid Suffolk parents of boys bucked the national trend, making Henry the most popular, but those choosing girls names followed those from elsewhere in the UK and made Olivia the most popular choice.
Bury St Edmunds parents favoured the names Charlie for boys and Elsie for girls in 2017, with national favourites Olivia and Oliver failing to make the top three.
Parents in the Waveney constituency also opted for something slightly different, with the most popular names being Logan for boys and Daisy and Emily for girls.
Daisy was also popular in Suffolk Coastal, where it topped the list of baby girl names while Oliver was back at the top for boys.
Meanwhile, in Forest Heath the most popular baby names last year were Harry for boys and Olivia for girls
Nick Stripe, of the ONS, said: “Although Oliver and Olivia remained the most popular baby names in 2017, some fascinating changes took place beneath them.
“Leo entered the boys’ top 10 for the first time, whilst Hunter rocketed into the top 100 for the first time, reaching number 78.
“Sarah, the most popular name for baby girls throughout much of the 1970s and 1980s, dropped out of the top 100 for the first time since our records began in 1904.
“Brand new entries into the top 100 for girls include the names Aurora and Hallie.”
Nearly 700,000 babies were born last year in England and Wales and over 63,000 unique baby names were registered.
