Pupils from Sandlings Primary School visited the new education centre in Parliament on Monday, and met with Suffolk Coastal MP Therese Coffey.
The children learnt about how democracy works, including the process of passing a Bill through both the House of Lords and the House of Commons, and questioned Dr Coffey on her role as a Member of Parliament and a minister.
Dr Coffey said: “It was a pleasure to welcome children and staff from Sandlings Primary School to Westminster.
“Sandlings is the first school from our area to use this fantastic new facility.
“I want to encourage other schools from Suffolk Coastal to make the trip down to Westminster and take advantage of the new education centre.”
