Halloween is coming - is your pumpkin ready?

Forget your average Jack O’Lanterns, this bunch of Suffolk craftsmen and women have opted for far more technical designs, taking inspiration from Scream and Nintendo’s Super Mario.

Originally it was turnips that were carved at Halloween but pumpkins then took over and in recent years the practice has become increasingly popular with people opting for increasingly intricate designs.

Many touched by the disappearance of Corrie McKeague in Bury St Edmunds have this year carved #FindCorrie into their pumpkins as a way of raising awareness of the ongoing search for the missing RAF gunner.

Tomorrow evening, houses around Suffolk will be lit up by pumpkins, a signal that the owners are happy for trick or treaters to knock.
