A 72-obstacle splash park tipped to be the largest in the UK is arriving in Suffolk – just in time for summer.
From thrillseekers to families, people of all ages are being invited to take the plunge at the Total Wipeout style course at Alton Water.
Spread over more than 8,000 square metres, the new Aqua Park is set to be the largest of its kind to splash down in the UK this summer.
Open for nine weeks from July onwards, the adrenalin-pumping adventure course sees participants grapple with a range of challenges.
Britain’s biggest jumps and slides, climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars, rockers and rollers are just some of the attractions on offer at the new park.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to get wet and wild on the dizzying Cyclone and hair-raising Revolution.
Co-founder Richard Drinkwater said: “Following the successful launch of our first Aqua Park in Rutland and Leicestershire three years ago, we are excited to now bring the same awesome experience to Suffolk.
“Aqua Park Suffolk is a great reason to get active outdoors this summer, not to mention helping to ease school holiday cabin fever.
“I would advise booking early to avoid disappointment, and although we can’t promise this summer will be a sizzler, we can guarantee Aqua Park Suffolk will serve up a super soaking, fun day out for all.”
Those making a splash at the park, which officially launches on Saturday, July 7, need to be ready for the physical challenge.
Challengers must be aged eight and over, 1.3m tall and able to swim 50 metres unaided in a buoyancy vest to take part.
These are provided, and wetsuits are included in the £20 ticket price, which covers a 50-minute session.
The attraction, created and designed by sports activity management specialists Aqua Parks Group Ltd, the Suffolk park has been developed alongside Anglian Water, who run the Alton Water site.
It will run for nine weeks – even in wet weather – until Sunday, September 9.
