MOTORISTS travelling towards Ipswich were caught in tailbacks today after an accident on the A12.
A 20-year-old man was taken to Ipswich Hospital with possible knee injuries after the crash on the northbound carriageway at Stratford St Mary.
The accident happened just after 7am and involved a Volvo lorry, a Fiat Punto and a Renault Laguna.
Fire and ambulance crews attended the scene and Suffolk police closed one lane of the A12.
The road was cleared by about 9am.
