Hello, friends!
I hope you've had a good week and not been worrying too much about Kieran McKenna's future - although that is hard, admittedly, given all the noise around it.
Let's start there, with the elephant in the room. You'll have seen A LOT of stories in the nationals and elsewhere reporting that he's either definitely going to Manchester United, Chelsea or Brighton, or that he's getting a massive new Town contract, or that he won't sign any new deal.
Lots of folks have asked us why we haven't been breathlessly reporting on all of the above, and the reason is simple.

We simply won't report on/cover speculation or gossip - we take our responsibility to you seriously, and that means we want to be sensible, credible and, most of all, right.
Hopefully, that's why you follow us and read our content - because we've shown repeatedly over the years that you can trust what we say.
We are working very hard to verify exactly what is going on, amid a storm of noise, and once we're confident in what we have, we'll bring that to you.
Stu's already penned his thoughts on the McKenna situation, and we talked at length about how we think it will play out on this week's podcast.
McKenna, of course, has also been asked about it all - and met it with his trademark straight bat. 🏏
We'll bring you more when we have it - but the fact is that Kieran McKenna is still Ipswich Town manager.
Right, let's move on - and here's some rather happier news around McKenna from earlier this week.

We've also had the pundits' views on McKenna - some sensible stuff from Simon Jordan and Martin Keown, and some more predictable stuff from Mr Chris Sutton...
And in other news, we've had a trio of exclusives this week - chats with Conor Chaplin, Massimo Luongo and a new buzzword from Mark Ashton... 🦈
Ok, I've taken up enough of your time. Before I go though, one last thing...
