A houseboat that is in a prime mooring location on Ferry Quay in Woodbridge, off the River Deben, has come onto the market for a guide price of £165k with selling agent Fine & Country.
Bluebird was designed and built in 2013 as a replica to a 55ft by 12ft steel Dutch barge, and up until recently, was used as a designer and artists workspace and full time home.

From the quay, the gangway leads to the rear deck and door into the wheelhouse, which has panoramic windows offering views over the river, as well as a useful study area.
A small wooden staircase brings you down into the lower main living and kitchen area.
The kitchen has white shaker-style base cabinets with wood worktops, as well as a wall cupboard for extra storage, a built-in fridge and space for a freestanding cooker and washer/dryer.
There's also room for a small breakfast table and chairs.
The living area is a cosy and bright space that features a non-opening skylight and plenty of windows along both sides of the boat. The space also has built-in shelving that is great for storage and displaying items.
Bedroom one is a good-sized double, with two porthole windows and double casement doors that open onto the foredeck. The space is currently used as a separate living room.
The second bedroom has been utilised as the main bedroom and is also a double, with a large window at the head of the captain’s bed, which also has drawer storage underneath.
You will also find a wardrobe for clothes storage and further storage cupboards, with one having access to the bilge, waste and oil tanks.
Bluebird is completed by a shower room, which consists of an enclosed electric shower, Saniflo macerator WC with holding tank, and wash hand basin with built-in shelving.
Outside, the rear deck provides outdoor living space with waterside views, and there is potential to put up railings on the front deck to increase the open-air space.
