A main road through a village in east Suffolk will be closed for nearly three months.

Cadent are carrying out works on High Street in Ufford starting on May 13 with a full road closure in place.

It is expected to last for just over two and a half months before reopening on August 2. 

During this time the B1438 heading into the town will be access only.

A diversion route for the B1438 High Street will be in place for the duration of the closure. 

The 13 mile diversion will take drivers along Yarmouth Road through Melton and onto the A12 at the roundabout with the A1152. 

Drivers can then continue on the A12 northbound towards Wickham Market and Campsea Ashe. 

It is estimated the diversion will take about 20 minutes to complete.
