A historic Suffolk village has been named one of the prettiest in the UK.
Lavenham, which is arguably one of the best-preserved villages in the country, was listed as one of the prettiest villages by The Independent.
Located between Hadleigh and Sudbury, Lavenham gives visitors the opportunity to travel back in time.
The medieval wool village has a variety of colourful timber-framed buildings and a beautiful church.
The National Trust museum - the Lavenham Guildhall - and the Brooked House are well worth a visit along with its independent shops, nice tearooms and pubs.
Describing the village The Independent said: "One of the best preserved medieval villages in England, Lavenham in the Suffolk countryside is formed of timbered cottages, 15th-century churches and magical woodlands.
"Famous for its role as Godric’s Hollow in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, the charming backdrop of cosy tea rooms, a traditional English guildhall and crooked houses are not to be missed on a picturesque UK staycation."
