A car fire caused delays on the A14 in the eastbound direction.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue was called to the incident near junction 46 for Thurston just after 7.15pm.
Two engines from Bury St Edmunds and Elmswell were on the scene.
A stop time was called just before 8.30pm.
