A body has been found in a river near a Suffolk village this afternoon following the search for a man in his 80s.
Emergency services from across Suffolk were called to reports of an incident in Wickham Market Road at around 1pm.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said there were two engines from Princes Street in Ipswich and one engine from Framlingham in attendance.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: "At approximately 12.55pm today, officers located a body in the River Deben near Glevering Bridge.
"Police, fire and ambulance crew attended the location but the man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
"It is believed that the body found was a man in his 80s who was reported as missing this morning."
"Next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course".
Police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances and the death is being treated as unexplained.
In October the body of a man was found in a field in Wickham Market during the search for missing Calvin Baxter in the aftermath of Storm Babet.
