A road was blocked after a van and car burst into flames.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Martlesham at about 2pm on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that both a car and a van were 100pc involved in the blaze.
Police were also called to the scene.
An eyewitness said they heard loud bangs coming from the vehicles.
The blaze is now out and the fire service called a 'stop' on the incident at about 2.45pm.
