There were long delays on the A14 due to a broken-down vehicle.
Police were at the scene of the incident on the eastbound carriageway, near to junction 47 for Woolpit.
A spokesperson for Suffolk police said a wheel had come off the car and was in a dangerous position.
Recovery for the vehicle was called and the scene was later cleared.
